Driving Miss Daisy - Coming in September!

Driving Miss Daisy, September 19 - October 4, 2014

When Daisy Werthan, a widowed 72-year-old Jewish woman living in midcentury Atlanta, is deemed too old to drive, her son, Boolie, hires Hoke Coleburn, a thoughtful African American man, to serve as her chauffeur. What begins as a troubled and hostile pairing blossoms over the next twenty-five years as the two, despite their mutual differences, grow ever closer to, and more dependent on, each other, coming to realize that they have more in common than they ever believed possible - and that times and circumstances would ever allow them to publicly admit.

"Playwrights Horizons has a winner in this one - gives off a warm glow of humane affirmation." - Variety

"Driving Miss Daisy is a total delight." - NY Daily News

General donations

Longmont Theatre Company is a non-profit community theater, and the oldest continuously operating community theater in northern Colorado. As we give to the community, we hope that the community will give to us. Ticket sales covers part of our expenses, but we need support from you to continue our work.

If you have set up a recurring donation, you may Modify Recurring Donations at any time.

Illuminate the Marquee

The home of the Longmont Theatre Company is an historic landmark, with a beautiful cascade of neon light above the marquee. Or it will be beautiful, once we restore it, with your help. Please contribute to our capital improvement fund, so we can relight the cascade by the start of 2015. You'll be joining the LDDA, the Longmont Community Foundation, Longmont Power, and other patrons.
