Part of Longmont Theatre's mission is to provide educational opportunities, to encourage the love of theater, and help our community grow.

Audition Workshop Get yourself in shape for Fall and Winter auditions! Audition Seminar taught by Rachel Fowler, Actor, and Sylvia Gregory, Casting Director. Presenting a 5-week series designed to get you ready to compete at your next audition.

Youth theater During the summer, LTC offers two tracks for youth theater -- one for younger students, and one for middle- and high-school students. Both tracks end with a live performance on the LTC stage.
Advanced youth New for summer 2009, is our advanced youth theater session. This is for students with previous theater experience, who want to go farther.
24-hour lock-in From time to time, LTC hosts a "24-hour lock-in" workshop, aimed at high school and college students. The participants produce a show in only 24 hours!
Shakeshops During the school year, from September to May, the Taste of Shakespeare outreach program offers free monthly workshops for actors. While the workshops tend to focus on Shakespeare's works, actors may bring material from any source, and audition practice is encouraged. For ages 13 and up.
School appearances Our Taste of Shakespeare group is available for hire, to appear in your school. They can deliver scenes from the show your class is studying, or conduct custom acting seminars for your theater class.
Rehearsal and Performance - intensive workshop In Spring 2009, LTC offers this workshop in conjunction with the Northern Colorado Actors Studio, led by Dave Dahl. This six week course will cover methods to improve your audition, rehearsal, and performance experience. The workshop ends with a "showcase performance" for local directors. For ages 13 and up.
