The advance class for the youth theatre will once again be traveling to CCTC, in Salida, Colorado August 3-6. Rehearsals will run through the summer at an average of about twice a week. Auditions are March 23, 2011 from 5-8 at the theatre. Please bring a prepared monolouge and your form filled out.

On a seemingly ordinary day, an explosive fight occurs at a high school when Travis, a bully, confronts his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, Nate. Though the actual encounter lasts only a moment, the effects of the incident linger in the memories and lives of all those who witnessed it. Through a series of short scenes and monologues, this powerful play explores the repercussions, both short term and long, of a single event in a young person's life. At the play's end, the physical confrontation is illustrated once more, but now with a much broader perspective. The class will be done on an audition-only basis, for grades 9 through 12.
